Commitment to the use of clean energy

En Novandino Litio we believe that the shape in which we produce It is so important , the what we produce. Because of that, We integrate clean energy in our operations in the Atacama Salt Flat, reducing emissions and actively contributing to the global energy transition.

Our lithium production is based on solar and electric sourceswhich allows us to reduce our environmental impact and move towards a more responsible mining, in balance with the environment and people.

Solar thermal

We harness the energy of the Atacama Salt Flat's sun to power our production process. Through solar thermal energy, we naturally evaporate lithium brine, reducing our reliance on external sources and moving towards cleaner production. Today, the 95,8% of the energy we use comes from the sun, which allows us to significantly reduce our carbon footprint.

What does this mean in practice?

We almost completely replaced the use of fossil fuels in the brine concentration stage.

We significantly reduced CO₂ emissions in one of the most intensive phases of the process.

We take advantage of a natural, constant and abundant source to operate with greater efficiency and less impact.

Electric power
