In a new edition of the event focused on sustainable mobility, the company and the iconic Chilean driver presented a fleet of E-Karts that allowed attendees to experience speed and sustainability on four tracks designed for the occasion.
During Saturday's events, the Telethon moved to the location, where an entertaining car race was held between influencers and athletes.
Santiago, Chile – November 11, 2024 – Thousands of people gathered for another edition of Experiencia-E, the largest electromobility event in Chile, organized by iconic Chilean racing driver Eliseo Salazar with the support of SQM Lithium and other companies. The event showcased the latest trends in sustainable mobility, new models, and dozens of cars and e-karts that attendees could test drive.
Lithium batteries for sustainable mobility
Eliseo Salazar, SQM Lithium's Electromobility Ambassador and Executive Director of Experiencia-E, joined this initiative, contributing his extensive experience in motorsports to guide participants through this exciting experience. The e-karts, powered by lithium batteries , offered drivers an unparalleled experience that combined speed and sustainability, demonstrating how innovation can transform the future of transportation.
“There are only a few years left before combustion vehicles are off the streets, and with that, electromobility is gaining ground at a very fast pace. In Chile, this comes from the lithium that companies like SQM produce in the north. For this reason, we must generate a great deal of interest among young people and also among older people, and what better way to do it than through these initiatives where we exhibit, but also deliver the experience of electromobility itself,” explained Eliseo Salazar.

1. Looking back on your career, what have been the key moments that shaped your approach to leadership and how do those learnings influence your current decisions?
Throughout my professional career, I have been fortunate to face challenges that have allowed me to strengthen my strategic vision and develop a crucial adaptability for the current context. From those first high-impact projects, I learned the importance of collaboration and building a diverse team that brings valuable perspectives. Those moments have guided me to lead with a human approach and make decisions informed by data, but always with a sense of purpose that considers both business objectives and the well-being of those who are part of the team.
2. How would you describe your leadership style and what changes or adjustments do you consider necessary to respond to the challenges and opportunities of 2025?
I consider my leadership style to be approachable, results-focused, and adaptable, elements that become more relevant in a changing environment. I believe in fostering a space in which each person can innovate and develop their potential. Looking ahead to 2025, one of the main adjustments I see necessary is to continue strengthening the team's ability to adapt to changes and technology, in addition to fostering an environment that prioritizes sustainable development and ethical commitment in each project. I also believe that more inclusive and digitalized leadership is key to facing the coming year.
3. What are the main goals and strategies that you have set for yourself to achieve by 2025 on a personal level and in your professional role?
In 2025, one of my main goals is to consolidate the implementation of initiatives that drive sustainability and operational efficiency in our organization, aligned with our environmental responsibility goals. On a personal level, I seek to continue deepening my training in conscious and sustainable leadership, adapting to new market demands and the expectations of our collaborators. My vision is that by aligning personal and professional objectives, I can lead with a clearer purpose and generate a positive impact that benefits both our company and the community in which we operate.
