To recognize the importance of professional development and educational training for its employees and their families, SQM Lithium launched its Excellence Scholarship program 19 years ago. Since then, the company has awarded more than 1.000 educational scholarships.
Antofagasta, July 3, 2024: In a ceremony that brought together the executive team, union leaders, family members, and special guests, SQM Lithium celebrated the awarding of more than 120 Excellence Scholarships at the Enjoy Antofagasta Casino. This annual event reaffirms the company's commitment to the development and education of its employees and their families.
Over 19 years supporting the community with scholarships
“This program began 19 years ago with the awarding of 17 scholarships across the company. Today, in SQM’s Lithium division, we are awarding more than 123. For us, the development of our people is fundamental; they are the driving force and the source of knowledge and progress for SQM. That is why we consider it crucial to provide this benefit and promote education and continuous training. This commitment is an essential part of our objectives ,” added Carlos Díaz, Executive Vice President of SQM Lithium.
The ceremony not only recognized the academic and professional merit of the beneficiaries, but also celebrated the joint effort of the SQM Litio community to build a more promising future through education and personal development. This annual event has established itself as one of the company's main initiatives in its commitment to sustainability and the well-being of its workers; to date, more than 1.000 excellence scholarships have been awarded.
