A special event commemorating International Women's Day was held in San Pedro de Atacama's plaza, organized by SQM Litio's Alianza de la Mujer Atacameña (AMA) program.

The event "Commemorating 8M Women's Day: Making the Women of San Pedro de Atacama Visible" brought together women from different communities, who participated in cultural activities, workshops, and inspirational moments that highlighted their leadership and commitment to their territory.
Talk “Let’s Start Together”
The "8M International Women's Day Commemoration" featured lawyer and television host Carmen Gloria Arroyo, who shared her life story and encouraged attendees to pursue their dreams despite challenges. Her message emphasized the importance of perseverance and resilience in achieving personal and professional goals, leaving an inspiring impression on the participants.
Launch of the microdocumentary AMA
During the event, the AMA program's micro-documentary "Creators, Stories that Unite Under the Sun" was also launched. The film features women themselves sharing their vision and experiences surrounding empowerment, culture, and the creation of new opportunities. Workshops were also held on pottery, plant protection, and local food heritage, strengthening the area's identity and knowledge.

SQM Lithium's Atacameña Women's Alliance (AMA) program continues to strengthen the presence of women leaders in the region, supporting the development of local businesses and creating spaces for collaboration and learning.
