A unique wine experience in the desert
Within the framework of our Atacama Fertile Land program, a group of 18 farmers from the Celeste, Toconao, San Pedro de Atacama and Socaire sectors It produces wine at an altitude of over 2.400 meters.The eighth harvest of Ayllu Wine, Which Kunza means "community" and reflects the desire to develop the wine industry under unconventional conditions, applying modern techniques and advice from national and international experts.
El ayllu It is a signature wine, where each label details the vineyard's area in square meters, the number of vines on the property, the bottles produced per year, and the altitude above sea level of the production. These characteristics have allowed the wine to be positioned for sale in hotels and restaurants in the Antofagasta Region.
Currently, the 18 families that make up the project are grouped under the High Altitude Winegrowers Cooperative and produce wines from grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Malbec, Moscatel, the traditional País grape and the newly introduced Sauvignon Gris.
