Educational support to improve reading skills
In 2019, we implemented the +Language Support Program in schools in the San Pedro de Atacama district, aimed at children from 1st to 6th grade. This program arose from a need identified by the education sector, with the main objective of improving students' reading quality, speed, and comprehension.
The program offers technical support to teachers, includes the administration of tests and assessments, and promotes activities related to reading comprehension. Our aim is to introduce new generations to literacy through coordinated work with teachers, deploying and enhancing various tools that motivate students.
During 2019, the advice of the +Language Program benefited 7 schools in San Pedro de Atacama.
