A party that brings together musicians from the north
In the town of Toconao, the “Lakitas Encounter: Ckoi Nisaya Ckhuri or The Voice of the Wind” takes place, organized by the Lakitas Renacer Andino group and sponsored by Novandino LitioThe event brought together over one hundred performers of this traditional musical genre, transforming the Toconao plaza into a vibrant celebration filled with color and music. This project aims to promote and pass on the Atacama heritage to new generations in the region.
For more than six hours, attendees enjoy this carnival featuring the Lakitas Ckuri Ticka and Estrella Andina from San Pedro de Atacama; Lakitas del Carmen from Conchi Viejo; Hijos del Norte from Río Grande; and Lakitas Amautas from the Lasana Valley. They are joined by the hosts, Renacer Andino from Toconao, among others.
