Improving the health of local crops
The 2019 activities for garlic cultivation in Rio Grande The campaign consisted of supporting the disinfection of plots using products with low impact on the local ecosystem, along with constant monitoring of the progression of diseases detected during the production cycle. The campaign included the participation of 23 farmers, of which 15 were dedicated to garlic cultivation and the rest carried out crop rotation plantings to reduce the presence of diseases.
Production levels remained at an average of 70% per hectareachieving a significant positive impact on the community. Furthermore, in 2019 the Hierbas Buenas field, belonging to the Río Grande community, was incorporated, with an area of 30 hectares for cultivation, where the first support work in civil engineering was carried out.
