New viewpoints in Talabre

Inauguration of tourist viewpoints in Talabre

Two tourist viewpoints were inaugurated

At the foot of the Láscar volcano, more than 3 meters above sea levelThe indigenous community of Talabre fulfilled a long-awaited dream: the inauguration of two tourist viewpoints located in the Saltar and Talabre Viejo sectors.

With this initiative, we aim to develop tourism in the area to diversify the economy of this town, which since its founding has been dedicated to livestock farming and agriculture. The viewpoints were constructed using local rock to avoid impacting the town's infrastructure or heritage.

In addition, they feature benches, a windbreak, a table, and informational signage. We actively participated in the design and construction alongside the Talabre community, with a clear focus: to create a space offering panoramic views of the area and the Láscar volcano.

This initiative aims to highlight the natural and cultural environment of the town, promoting a sustainable tourism model that directly benefits its inhabitants. Through projects like this, we foster local identity and create new opportunities for the communities surrounding the Atacama Salt Flat.
