IRMA is an international standard that measures the social and environmental performance in mining sites worldwide, which due to its rigor is consulted by a wide range of interest groups.

En Novandino Litio We are participating in this initiative to promote a change in the way mining is done, focusing on a sustainable production process that generates a positive impact in the social and environmental sphere.

The Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA) standard provides a framework for developing responsible processes in our value chain throughout the mining life cycle. In September 2020, we began the self-assessment process at the Salar de Atacama operations to determine the degree of alignment and design our work plan.

This standard contributes to an analysis of 26 subjects and their requirements, based on 4 principles: Company Integrity, Planning and Management of Positive Legacies, Social Responsibility y Environmental responsibility.

IRMA independent audit from 2021.

Our Salar de Atacama mine achieved an IRMA score of 75 when independently assessed against the IRMA Standard for Responsible Mining. We volunteered to measure our mine against this standard, providing stakeholders with the transparency and accountability needed to advance our goal of becoming the world's most responsible source of lithium.
